The kids are on their way! 26 of our older children from Asia's hope in India are beginning an amazing week-long educational excursion to Kolkata, the capital of the state of West Bengal. While in Kolkata, they will visit museums, galleries, and sites of cultural significance — they will also have some time for other activities, such as a visit to the beach of Digha, which is located just to the south of the big city of Kolkata. 

For a group of children who have never had many experiences outside of the immediate surroundings of their local (or, for that matter, seen the ocean) this will be an especially rewarding and eye-opening trip. We feel that it is such a privilege to work with our wonderful national leadership and staff in India — these are individuals who not only have a desire to care for orphans, but have the big vision of creating families for these wonderful kids, providing them with the love and the kinds of experiences that we would all want for our own children.
