Battambang 6 -- March/April Update
The kids of Battambang 6 welcomed a team from their sponsoring church, Western Reserve Church of Macedonia, Ohio -- reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and enjoying special meals and outings. They also worked hard in preparation for the Khmer New Years festivities, which included the first even Asia's Hope Soccer Tournament and an Easter Outreach that was attended by nearly 2000 people.
As the home parents were sure to mention this month, many of the kids in home 6 are performing at a high level academically: two 4th graders, a 9th grader, and two students in grade 11, were ranked in the top five students of their graduating class. Congratulations!
Gwen Higaki, Executive Director of Bright Start Learning, and her Husband Vern visited BB6 along with the rest of the team from Western Reserve Church.
