Throughout March and April, the kids of Kalimpong 1 enjoyed Easter celebrations, baptisms, and even a special trip to a local flower show.

Our National Director, Nandu Gurung, also included some of the older children from the Kalimpong homes in outreaches, church services, and baptisms in the surrounding mountain villages.

Please keep one of the children, Rebecca in your prayers. She has been having fainting spells and has recently received testing from a specialist in Siliguri. She has been placed on meds and is feeling much better, but we are still awaiting word from the Doctor regarding her diagnosis.

Kalimpong 2 -- March/April Update

March and April saw the kids of Kalimpong 2 enjoying Easter celebrations, baptisms, and the arrival of new toys and gifts purchased with funds raised by our partners Lake Forest Church.

Our National Director, Nandu Gurung, also included some of the older children from the Kalimpong homes in outreaches, church services, and baptisms in the surrounding mountain villages.

As India completes it's national elections, please pray for peace and political stability. Pray also for one of the children at our Kalimpong 1 children's home who is receiving special testing and treatment for fainting spells. We are awaiting word on a diagnosis from the specialist that conducted the testing in Siliguri. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

Kalimpong 3 -- February Update

The months following the Christmas holiday have been busy for the kids of Kalimpong 3. In addition to returning to school, the kids were treated to a fancy meal at a local hotel, and, along with the other children and staff of Asia's Hope India, they enjoyed some fun times at a local water park.

Kalimpong 1 -- February Update

The kids of Kalimpong 1 are getting back into their usual routine after the busy Christmas holiday. It's not all school and studying, however, the kids also enjoyed a special trip to a local water park with rest of the children and staff of Asia's Hope India!

Kalimpong 2 -- February Update

The kids of Kalimpong 2 joined the other children of Asia's Hope India on special field trips--over the weekend, the kids even enjoyed a reprieve from their usual routine, taking a trip to a local water park.

Christmas and New Years in Kalimpong

The children at our four Asia's Hope homes in Kalimpong, India, enjoyed many special meals, performances, and other celebrations together this Christmas. All of this simply would not be possible without the loving support provided by our partnering churches and caring individuals -- the distance between the life these children are experiencing as part of an Asia's Hope family and what awaited them on the streets couldn't be more further apart. Because of you, these children have a place to call home and hope for the future.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from Asia's Hope!

We are so thankful for all of our partners, volunteers, and supporters--because of you, the children of Asia's Hope had a wonderful Christmas holiday with their families. The kids enjoyed presents, parties, special meals and performances, traditional dances, and even some Western Style Christmas Caroling. Thank you for helping to make this a Christmas to remember.

The children of Asia's Hope India worked extremely hard to prepare special Christmas performances.

The children in Cambodia even treated their community to Christmas events and outreaches.

All of the kids from Asia's Hope Thailand enjoyed special gifts, meals and activities.

Kalimpong 2 -- August update

Executive Director John McCollum and his family recently visited the kids and staff of Asia's Hope India. They were joined by board member Adam Heath and also a small team from Scarlet City Church in Columbus, Ohio. They report that the kids of Kalimpong 2 are doing well, and are enjoying the ample play area provided by the new home they're renting.
