The children had a great outing. There is a waterfall within an hour's drive of Doi Saket. The younger kids and staff piled into three trucks. The weather was hot and the water refreshing. We allowed them to play until they were exhausted and hungry. They ate a picnic lunch of sticky rice and fried chicken. They all slept on the return trip to the orphanages.
The children were so excited. They were getting to go to a waterfall. Their faces beamed when they finally reached the falls. None of the children had even seen a waterfall. This one was man-made and was safe for the children to play in. They sat on the rocks and slid down the slopes. A picnic lunch of sticky rice and fried chicken followed.
School's out! Three trucks were loaded with children. A man-made waterfall provided safe, free fun for the children. They played in the water until they were blue. The picnic lunch followed. Then the tired tikes slept all the way home.
