Job description:
Long-term, project-based philanthropic partnerships are central to Asia’s Hope’s funding strategy. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will work closely with our CEO, board and executive staff to ensure that all of our existing and prospective partners are informed, appreciated and consulted with on an ongoing basis. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will also act as our partners’ advocate in our office, helping us understand their communication needs and philanthropic aspirations.
Start date: July 1, 2019
Responsibilities will include:
Developing and strengthening long-term donor partnerships
Developing, implementing and leading a successful program for relationship enhancement, donor appreciation and stewardship assistance for our network of 60+ key support partnerships
Providing relevant updates, information and advice to our partnerships on an ongoing basis
Working closely with our partners to understand their needs and explore opportunities for partnership growth
Assisting our board and CEO with recruiting and retaining new partnerships
Helping to implement a robust program of strategic communications across multiple media
Assisting our executive staff in the maintenance and preservation of donor records
Qualified candidates will:
Have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in a relevant field or role
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing and critical thinking skills
Exude poise and depth when speaking with donors and other high level constituents
Have a proven ability to work independently and handle multiple relationships with attention to details, deadlines and results
Possess technical expertise sufficient to utilize project management, customer relationship management and scheduling software
Demonstrate an ability to work with colleagues from different cultural and national backgrounds
Demonstrate an affinity for and ability to work with religious entities and institutions
Enjoy working in a casual office environment
Be willing to travel alone or with co-workers to visit existing and prospective donors and partners
Be willing to travel overseas at least once every two years at Asia’s Hope’s expense
Be able to pass a background check and meet our child protection policy standards
