Statements of Intent
Between Asia’s Hope International and our partner organizations in Cambodia and India
Asia’s Hope International has entered into Statements of Intent with our national partners in India and Cambodia to clarify and reaffirm the agreements, responsibilities, and shared understanding that have long governed our work together. These documents affirm our intention to remain one international ministry — locally led and locally rooted, while united by a common mission, shared accountability, and a long-term commitment to the children, families, staff, and communities we serve.
The Statements outline mutual responsibilities on both sides. Asia’s Hope International commits to sustained financial partnership, including support for children’s homes, education, scholarships, staff, and other agreed-upon programs. Our national partners commit to protecting property and other assets funded through Asia’s Hope International, maintaining financial and operational transparency, and using funds for their intended purposes. The Statements also affirm strong local leadership, effective boards, clear lines of authority, ethical governance, and appropriate oversight by the Asia’s Hope International board.
These Statements are not intended to replace existing agreements, but to clarify and reiterate them and to provide a common framework for strengthening our governance in the years ahead. Their principles will serve as the basis for future amendments and improvements to the bylaws and governing documents of each entity, as well as for future memoranda of understanding and other agreements between Asia’s Hope International and its national partners. By putting these shared commitments in writing, we aim to ensure that the mission, resources, relationships, and responsibilities entrusted to Asia’s Hope are protected beyond any particular generation of leaders and can continue faithfully for generations to come.
