Dear Uncle Bob,
There are a lot of causes and charities out there, and it can be hard to know which ones are effective and worthy our your support. I wanted to let you know that I am supporting Asia’s Hope this year, and I invite you to join me.
Asia’s Hope provides family-style care for orphaned and vulnerable children in Cambodia, Thailand and India. Before they were rescued by Asia’s Hope, these kids lived every day at high risk of the sexual and economic exploitation. At Asia’s Hope, these kids get a loving home, a great education and hope for a successful, independent future.
I trust Asia’s Hope because I know they use their money wisely and they make a significant, measurable difference in the lives of the kids in their care.
In celebration of their 15th birthday, Asia’s Hope has launched a funding initiative they’re calling The Big 15 (www.asiashope.org/the-big-fifteen). I’m not only giving to this campaign, I’m encouraging others to do so. I hope you’ll visit their website and read a little more about this great organization.
Give my best to Aunt Josie.
Love, Sarah
Hi, Todd.
Quick question — do you know if Acmetron does any year-end charitable giving, or if they match employee donations?
Kathy and I are supporting Asia’s Hope (www.asiashope.org) this year, and it would be great to see the company get involved in some way. This is a really amazing organization that rescues and raises orphaned and abandoned kids in Cambodia, Thailand and India.
They also operate two schools in Cambodia for their kids and for poor kids in the surrounding community. Both of these schools are in need of ongoing funding, and I’d love to see some of our people get behind them.
Asia’s Hope is running a year-end push designed to fund these two schools, provide a couple dozen of their graduates university scholarships and prepare the organization for their next phase of expansion, which could add up to 150 kids in seven new homes in Thailand over the next few years.
If you could point me in the direction of someone who get Acmetron on board, I’d love to give them some information about Asia’s Hope and hear some of their ideas about how to get more of our people involved.

Thank you in advance!

Dear Pastor Barry,
My husband Tim and I attend second service, and our two kids are heavily involved in the middle school youth group. We’ve been coming to Faith Chapel for about three years, and have been so impressed by your leadership, especially the way you’ve consistently highlighted the Bible’s teaching on missions, mercy and justice.
For the past two years, my family and I have been supporting a Christian orphan care ministry called Asia’s Hope. They work in Cambodia, Thailand and India and provide godly, loving families for orphaned kids who would otherwise face lives of poverty and exploitation.
They’re a multi-denominational, indigenous-led organization that is changing the lives of more than 800 kids at their 34 homes. They also run two Christian schools in Cambodia, and are turning out top-notch graduates that are becoming leaders in ministry, academics and business.
Our family is giving to Asia’s Hope’s year-end campaign, which is designed to fund their schools in Cambodia, send 24 more of their kids to university and prepare the organization for its next phase of expansion, in which they’ll be able to rescue 150 more precious orphaned kids in Thailand over the next four or five years.
With your permission, I’d like to share about my family’s involvement at the upcoming Women’s Retreat. And I’d love to talk further about how our ABFs — and maybe the church as a whole — could get behind this great organization.
Here’s some information about Asia’s Hope’s year-end campaign: www.asiashope.org/the-big-fifteen. I hope you’ll take a look. Give Tim or me a call or send us an email when you’ve had the chance to consider whether Faith Chapel can help in any way.
In Him,
Beth

Dear kids,
I know we’re heading towards Christmas and mom’s birthday. Every year, you ask us what we want, and every year we tell you the same thing: “We don’t need anything.”
Well, that’s still the case. But this year, if you really do want to give us a great gift, we’d like to ask you to consider joining us in supporting Asia’s Hope’s “The Big Fifteen” year-end campaign.
Mom and I have been looking for a charitable endeavor that we can really get behind, and we’ve found it in Asia’s Hope. We believe in their mission — providing family-style care for orphaned kids at high risk of sexual and economic exploitation in Cambodia, Thailand and India — and we’ve looked at their numbers. They’re a small organization, but they make every dollar count, and make a big impact in the lives of these kids. We’re making a monthly donation, and we’re working with our broker to sell a couple stocks so we can do a one-time gift in December.
So instead of getting me another tie (don’t get me wrong, I love the ties you’ve gotten me in the past, but we’re downsizing and you know how seldom I dress up now that I’m retired) or buy mom another kitchen gadget (don’t get me started on those), we’d love for you to make a generous donation to Asia’s Hope. You don’t even need to tell us how much you gave, just write “Asia’s Hope” in a card and give it to us when you see us over the holidays.
Here’s some information on their current giving initiative: www.asiashope.org/the-big-fifteen
We love you and can’t wait to see you soon.
Love, Dad and Mom
