Prek Eng 1 -- March/April Update

March and April were full of celebrations surround the Khmer New Year and Easter, including special meals, a pig roast, and preparations for the wedding of Srey Pich.

The kids also stayed busy with trips to the Ouressey Market and Takhau's Bridge. The home parents report that two kids are doing especially well in school -- one of the kids attending university excelled on their final semester exams and one of the grade 6 children received the honor of first rank in her class.

As you keep the children and staff in your prayers this month, please continue to pray for safety and health: especially for Chhouk, one of the staff at PE1, who is suffering from hypertension. Pray also for one of the children who will graduate from high school this year and take the graduation exams (in Cambodia there is much pressure surrounding these challenging exams) -- please pray for success!
