Due to unavoidable scheduling constraints on both sides of the Pacific, my family missed the dedication service for our new Prek Eng campus by just one day. As sad as I was to be absent during this joyful occasion, I was thrilled that my friends from Crossroads Church in Mansfield, Ohio – many of whom were instrumental in funding the project -- were able to join the staff and kids of our school and our five Prek Eng children’s homes in officially cutting the ribbon for the new facility.

Recently, I wrote about the new campus on my blog. Click over there for a more personal reaction to the project's progress.

Just over a year ago, the campus was an empty plot of land. We had the vision, but not the funds. Today, the campus, though not quite complete, is well underway. The school building is currently serving more than 100 of our elementary-age kids, and is being used for church services on the weekend and evening activities and classes.

The first of five homes is nearly complete, and three others are under construction. The facilities are beautiful, modern structures that will serve generations of orphaned and poor children!

The fifth and final home will be built when we can raise the $75,000 funding goal. After that, we hope to raise an additional $100,000 to meet other expenses associated with this project.
