March and April were eventful months. The kids enjoyed celebrations surrounding the Khmer New Year, Easter, and the wedding of Srey Pich of Prek Eng 1. Naturally, these celebrations included a pig roast and a campus wide party for the children. Some of the children also took the traditional trips to visit their extended family and their hometowns during the Khmer New Year. 

The kids were also busy with their studies -- 8 children from the home received class ranks of 1-3 during the last semester. Also, the academic excellence of 2 gifted kids earned them scholarships from the prestigious Beltei International Institute (a local private school in Phnom Penh). 

As you keep the kids and the staff in your thoughts and prayers this month, please pray for success on the 12 grade graduation exams for two of the children who will be attending university this coming fall -- these are very high-pressure exams are extremely important for admission.
